Finding treasure chests #

Treasure is hidden around the seabed, wreckage, reefs, ruins and caves. Look for the chest indicators on your HUD and listen for the nearby treasure sounds.

The radio may identify a search area for a treasure objective. Explore that area carefully, including spaces below wreckage and inside accessible caves.

Open the chest, then collect the treasure #

Opening a chest releases collectible treasure items. Make sure you collect the items as well as opening the lid, especially when the objective asks for a number of treasure chest items.

Treasure types include golden skulls, crowns, goblets and medallions. Their gold helps fund weapon unlocks and upgrades.

Plan a route back #

Take note of landmarks such as a wreck, an oil rig support or a cave entrance. These are easier to recognise during a return trip than an unfamiliar patch of reef.

Leave yourself enough oxygen and ammunition for the journey back. Going deeper into a cave can cost more time than you expect, especially when visibility changes.

Objectives and supplies #

The Objectives panel, compass and radio briefings work together to guide your dive. Follow the current task and inspect the marked area rather than relying on a remembered route from another dive.

Oxygen and ammunition are often placed near the area described in the briefing. The Campaign guide lists those briefing locations, with story spoilers clearly marked.
